Named GP Policy

Accountable/Named GP for all Patients

All patients registered at The St James Practice will have a named accountable GP. This GP will be in charge of your overall care but may not be the doctor you see every time you visit the surgery for an appointment. This will not in any way affect your choice of doctor. If you prefer to see a specific doctor, you can continue to see them as normal.

If you are unsure of who your named GP is please speak to our reception team.

All new patients registering with us will be notified of their named GP at this initial point of contact.
