When We Are Closed

An out-of-hours service to cover medical emergencies is available to patients and should be used only when the Practice is closed.

Please initially telephone the surgery on 020 3233 0870. If the surgery is closed a recorded message will give you the number for the out-of-hours service which is 111

The Out of Hours service is located at:

The Emergency & Urgent Care Centre (EUCC) in the grounds of Whipps Cross University Hospital, Leytonstone, E11 1NR. Telephone: 0844 2090 909 or Oliver Road Health Centre which is a walking centre. For minor illness please visit the local pharmacies.

NHS 111

NHS 111 offers free expert health information and advice 24 hours a day on 0845 4647 or at their website which also offers an enquiry service.

For deaf people and those hard of hearing a telephone service is available on 0845 606 4647. If English is not your preferred language you can choose to use a confidential translation service.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
