Clinics and Services
NURSE PRACTITIONER, PRACTICE NURSE & HEALTH CARE ASSISTANT CLINICS Clinics are held Monday to Saturday:
The Nurse Practitioner holds triage clinics and all nurses can provide help and advice regarding:
You may be asked to see one of the Practice Nurses
whilst waiting to see the doctor to have a general health check which
will include a Blood Pressure check and life style advice etc.
An excellent service is provided for our patients by
the Community District Nurses. They visit patients in their homes at the
request of the Doctor and provide general nursing care.
All families with children under five have a health
visitor. The health visitors run child health clinics and group health
education classes. They offer support and advice on child development,
managing difficult behaviour and general parenting skills. A full Ante-natal and Post-natal service is provided
by the doctors in conjunction with the community midwives. A Post-natal
invite to see the doctor will be sent to you when due. There are many other services provided by the practice, which do not form part of the NHS service and are therefore liable to a fee according to British Medical Association recommendations. These include private certificates and private prescriptions, confirmatory letters etc; medical examinations for special purposes, such as fitness to travel, pre-employment, insurance or driving medicals etc and any other service not covered by the NHS. A list of fees is displayed at reception.
